Can you recommend fun affordable accomodations near Yosemite for a family of 5? Mid June 2007?

Travel Tips
Forget about accomodations in Yosemite for mid-June in the weekend. They are all booked up early. However, if you're travelling mid-week (Monday to Thursday) and are willing to rough it a little, consider the Housekeeping Camp in the valley itself. You can squeeze 5 people in a room and it's the most FUN place to stay for a family of 5 in the valley. Here's what you get:

- Bunk Beds (sounds fun already and our kids loved it)
- Double Bed (for Mom and Ded)
- Air Mattress (if you bring it) on the floor or a rollaway bed (upon request) for the 5th person. Up to 6 people max.
- Campfire ring for smores
- Bear lockers right next to the room (so you don't have to lug all your equipment like in other places in Yosemite.
- Merced River right at your doorstep with sandy banks for swimming and wading with incredible views of yosemite falls (should still be flowing in June). If you make a reservation and see the "river" unit available...grab it.
- Electricity (for toasted bagels in the morning and fresh coffee).
- Walking distance to almost everything and shuttle right outside your door.
- Shared bathrooms and showers for the "camping adventure".

If you're not driving from home -- you can rent linen and stoves for cooking. The store will have some supplies and you can always dine in one of the many restaurants in the valley. But if you are driving from home, bring sleeping bags, pillows, christmas lights (to decorate your room), coolers, beach chairs, the works. Also bring a broom just in case.

Best thing of all it's $80/night so it's affordable. Make reservations at http://www.yosemitepark.com. I checked a unit was available on 6/21.

If housekeeping camp is not available, the most fun place to stay near Yosemite in June would be a "yurt". It's outside Yosemite (about 15 minutes from the gate, 45 minutes from the valley) and you can see more details at http://stayatyosemite.com/yurts/lodging.... They are a little more expensive but has private bathrooms and all modern amenities.
Others
There are 7 hotels run by the park service on park property. A couple are in-expense
