Where is a warm/hot, friendly, place in America near the sea?

Travel Info
I want to move over there from the UK. It's gotta be warm/hot, friendly, near a city but not in the city, near the coast and I need to be able to come back and see my family here in England! Thanks xx

Travel Tips
I live in Alabama by the Gulf of Mexico. It is pretty cheap to live out here and most people are friendly and it is an hour away from two different beaches. Not a lot to do in town though. I love to go to Florida myself. The beaches there are gorgeous. A lot depends on how much you want to spend because the living expenses are so different depending on where you live.

ummmm, how about California?

I second the Corpus Christi answer! It is a beautiful city on a beautiful bay. There is air service through Houston to the world! Corpus is friendly, warm/hot, Texas has no state income tax, Corpus has about the lowest gasoline prices in the state, and on top of all of that it has some of the best seafood and Mexican food in the world!
