Is this a good or bad idea for a vacation next year in about August? |
Travel Info We want to take an Amtrak from Illinois to Washington. He wants to visit his brother for a couple days then fly from Washington to Alaska to take a cruise. Then when that is done, he wants us to fly back to Illinois. I dont have a clue about Alaska cruises or airline travel or the state of Washington or train travel. Is this a good vacation or is he sucking me into something I will dislike? Travel Tips We have done two alaska cruises and we loved them! All the traveling might drive you a bit crazy but, once you get there and enjoy everything -- it will be totally worth it! Train travel can be a bit long -- especially from Illionios to Washington but its pretty relaxing and you can sleep or read a book and just lay down. Flying is the greatest! I think you might be getting into to much with taking the train and the plane but thats your decision.
