Has anyone been to Silver Springs in Ocala, Florida or their water park? |
Travel Info Was wondering if anyone has been to Silver Springs in Florida, what are your comments on the park and waterpark. How is the food their also? Travel Tips I haven't been in a few years but I live about an hour from Silver Springs. Silver Springs itself is more of a nature park. They have glass bottom boats and zoo animals and stuff. It's pretty nice. As far as I remember the food is pretty much the typical theme park food, overpriced but decent. I'm assuming the water park you're referring to is Wild Waters, which is near Silver Springs. I haven't been there in several years either but I went fairly often when I was a kid and as a teenager and I always had fun. A good thing to know there is that if it starts raining a lot of the people will leave. If there is lightning in the area they will close the water slides but it normally only lasts for about 30 minutes and when they open the slides back up the lines are really short or nonexistent because so many people leave while it's raining. That's about all I can tell you since I haven't been there recently. Hope this helps. Others YES! I live in Ocala It is not all that we bought passes for wet n wild in Orlando and drive there the passes were only like 90 bucks for the year. Also the park is boring for the most part if you live in Ocala go check it out if you are planing to come visit spend the extra money and drive on to Orlando. its small time you gotta go somewhere bigger and better Yes, before they changed it. When I was very young. Thus I don't remember anything but the glass bottom boat. I heard you can't see many fish in the springs anymore cuz of some problem goin on. Someone on my mother's side of the family was the original owner of the place. |
