Travel Info What counties are considered to be apart of the Mississippi Delta? Travel Tips In Mississippi they are Tunica, Coahoma, Bolivar, Sunflower, Washington, Leflore, Tallahatchie, Sharkey, Humphreys, Issaquena(sp?)....and several more....some of the poorest in the United States....and my home. Others USa!!! The Mississippi River delta is actually in Louisiana, which calls counties parishes. I don't think you will get an absolute answer to your question because the river has moved around over time: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/mississippi... However, the parishes of Plaquemines, Saint Bernard, Orleans, Jefferson, Saint Charles, and Saint John are certainly in the current river delta. |
