Travel Info I question the future. Travel Tips America is supposed to be the Government of the PEOPLE, not corporations..., that ought to be so... But, I don't think real profound change will come easily. Look at how hard it was for the Civil Rights movement in the 1960's, 100 years after Black people were given freedom, but still didn't have it? Look at how many movies Michael Moore made, where everything is stark blatantly obvious, but hardly a dent in the system. Have we consensus that we need Health Care and to make Corporations pay their fair share, etc.... MAYBE, but getting up and making sure they do so, won't be easy at ALL. We'll pay in blood....... Others If the present trends continue unchanged, worse. ~ If the voting public wakes up and throws the bums out, better. Worse, if the Democratics get their way right now, the country will be broke i.e. FREE HEALTHCARE! I hope America gets better. Better if we can come up with ways to protect the ozone lair and stop the war The Cold War was still going in June of 1989, and the USSR had been dead for 8 years when June of 1999 arrived. Despite the difficulties we are currently having in Afghanistan and Iraq, there is a very good chance 10 years from now will be much better. That assumes the Democrats don't insist we "pull out" and give victory to Islamic extremists who want to behead all of us for not being Moslem. 2 years in Iraq, 3 years in Kosovo, 1 year in Bosnia, 5 years in Saudi Arabia, 2 years in western Europe, and lifelong frequent travel all over the world. |
