What are the most dangerous neighborhoods in the United States? |
Travel Info Interested in the neighborhoods in the United States where you would not be safe in, perhaps even during the day. Are there any no patrol zones in the United States? Travel Tips I would have to say maybe the Eastside of Flint, Michigan. I live in a neighboring town, and am not wild about traveling to that area day OR night. It is really a shame, because there are some people that have owned homes there for years, and the drugs and decay have kind of grown around them. There are rows of abandoned and burned down buildings, and the city can't seem to keep up. Seems like there is a shooting there nearly every week..Flint has just been named the second most dangerous city to live in, and I believe I read that the city is continually making budget cuts, and wanted officers to travel alone while on duty. There is too much blight and crime, and not enough police officers to patrol it. Others no patrol zoenes? um....dont think so. it really depends on where you are going in the US. i happen to live in the heart of it were nothing really happens. if you are african in anyway stay away from georgia. everyone says its fine down there. but just stay away from really small towns down there. um....the eastcoast.......New York City's Brooklyn....really i need more information were you are planning on going. like the east? the west? the north? south?...the middle? You would have to look at some crime statistics, but generally poverty and crime are linked from a statistical stand point. The reasons for this are numerous, but much of the time neighborhood associations will pay off duty police officers to patrol the area. If the residents are poor, they are less likely to be able to pay into the neighborhood association fund for hiring the police officer. I don't know about anywhere else.. but definitely DETROIT Much of New Orleans is still very dangerous. Memphis is like #2 in crime in the US. |
