What about Nogales, Arizona ?

I am a single woman with no children. I want to move to from Southern CA (LA) to Arizona. I am deciding where. What about Nogales? It is near the border of Mexico. Is it slow-paced, low cost of living with affordable rent? How is the economy there? Help appreciated.

For what you have described of yourself I wouldn't suggest Nogales. However, I'll list a few towns I think would be ideal. Yuma, Sierra Vista, Tucson, Benson, Prescott, Flag Staff. Sierra Vista is near the border also but it's safer than Nogales.

Nogales is low-rent for a reason: it has a poor economy. You'd do better in Sierra Vista or even Bisbee.

I agree with CHICKENB26 its a border town a lot of drama due to the border unless you don't mind but that town is on the news a lot and its never good Flagstaff is great at least there you have all 4 seasons. I would compare it to the Serra Nevada. It not a far drive to the city (Phoenix)
