We need a decent motel to stay in Colorado Springs (2 older people)? |
Travel Info We are visiting relatives near skyview lane & cimmaron. We are hoping to not rent a car, but may need to. Want to stay in a safe location. Any suggestions? Travel Tips There are a few promising motels/hotels in that area. Remember though that it is tourist season so lodging will be more expensive. If none of these suit your fancy there are a ton of locally owned motels in the 3400-3600 block of W. Colorado Ave. that cater mostly to tourists. Garden Of The Gods Motel 2922 West Colorado Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80904 Holden House-1902 Bed & Breakfast Inn -expensive but nice 1102 West Pikes Peak Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80904 Clarion Hotel Colorado Springs-also nice but a bit expensive 314 West Bijou Street Colorado Springs, CO 80905 Travelers Uptown Motel-closest to downtown with lots to do 220 East Cimarron Street Colorado Springs, CO 80903 http://www.travelersuptownmotel.com... I would advise renting a car although it isn't strictly necessary. There is so much to do/see but it's all spread out. If your primary reason to come here is visiting with family rather than sightseeing and you just need to kill time while they are at work, stay at the Traveler' Uptown and walk into downtown during the day and enjoy the parks, Uncle Wilber, window shopping, and people watching. Public transportation is always an option but it takes FOREVER to get anyplace. Others If you are visiting relatives why dont you ask them of a nice place to stay. they should know the best and closest. If not, best western is always a good bet. |
