Where in the USA is a good place to live...? |
Travel Info I want out of LA and need a change. I would like to move to a place that is semi-rural, slow-paced, low cost of living, affordable rent and a decent economy. I am a single woman in my early 40's w/o children. I have a college education and varied work experience. If it is possible to find all of these qualities in the same city or town, please let me know. Anywhere in any state. Suggestions appreciated. Travel Tips Texas is the best. It has a very low cost of living but it does get very hot during the summer. Others I really like it here in the midwest. I'm between Chicago and Milwaukee, there are numerous communities here that would fit your bill. Madison Wisconsin is a good find, great quality of life and plenty of jobs for someone that's educated. Bellevue, Washington ALASKA!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is isolated and everything is cheaper. a good city would be anchorage or fairbanks. maybe juneau would be a good place to go. Virginia. its perfect for what you need (Chesapeake, Virginia Beach) Ohio or Virginia as far as i know, the outer san antonio area is nice. SA cost of living isn't bad, and the outlying areas (boerne, floresville, etc) are rather rural, but you have the option of a larger city. the night life is nice (riverwalk, and such) and austin is really close for visiting. |
