Your proposed route would probably contain a couple of N/S slalom curves along America's E/W axis. One of the neat things about driving across America is that you can cover a lot distance in a relatively short period of time. It's possible to do NYC-LA- NYC in 7 days. Are you flying, driving, walking? If you truly are going to dedicate your life to doing this daunting task, i say maximum 2 sates per month. In order to fully apperciate the state and absorb everything it has to offer i say live in it for a while. Drive on route 66, hike up the mountains, eat REAL regional food. I truly envy you. The closest thing i have are those sad 1 day per city vacation packages that are only filled with photo ops. I salute to you and your cause. good luck. |
