Activities in and around Delray Beach, FL?

My daughter (age 11) and I will be visiting down there in a couple of weeks and will have 4 days on our own to see the sights.

What are your suggestions for what to do? She would like museums, etc.

Lion Safari is nice in West Palm Beach I took my kids there a long time ago as they are now grown up. Have a very nice vacation. Plus there is a nice butterfly museum too to visit I just cannot remember the location, but you can look online to see where it is. Lake Worth Beach is very nice too nice beach and good place to swim as they have lifeguard's I went there last year.

Wakodahatchee Wetlands:
Nature lovers will thoroughly enjoy this attraction, especially bird lovers. Wakodahatchee was built by the Water Utilities Department as a sanctuary for many species of birds, turtles and small native animals who drop by throughout the year. A three quarter mile boardwalk takes visitors around this beautiful site, where they can observe the wildlife in its natural habitat, possibly catching a glimpse of an alligator down in the water here and there. Free of charge and rarely crowded, Wakodahatchee is a lovely, relaxing escape, suitable for small children all the way up to seniors.

Old School Square Cultural Arts Center:
A National Historic Site housing the Cornell Museum of Art & History, Crest Theatre and Vintage Gymnasium. Presenting rotating exhibits, professional theatre, music, dance, lectures and special events.

Sandoway House Nature Center:
Historically registered colonial resort revival house with a world class shell collection, coral reef pool/sharks, native gardens/butterfly garden, discovery porch, microscope lab, children鈥檚 library.

American Orchid Society Visitors Center and Botanical Garden:
The campus features a world-class botanical garden, spectacular greenhouse, incredible water features and thousands of orchids.
