Travel advice needed?

I am going to a seminar for my job, and I have to choose between Phoenix in September, Washington DC in October, or New York City in November. I will be paying my own way, but I think I may get some reimbursement.

Not including the issue of cost, which would be best?

If you're thinking about weather, forget about Phoenix in September. Phoenix generally doesn't get below 100 until October, and it doesn't cool off much at night either. NYC in Novmeber could be nasty as well, though it might be nice. DC in October would probably be best, weather-wise... you'll get some fall colors and it's cooler but not cold.

If you're thinking about stuff to do, DC and NYC blow Phoenix away. DC has the advantage that most of the museums and whatnot are clustered in a small area - in NYC there's just as much to do but it'd likely involve more traveling (probably by public transportation). Whether you pick DC or NYC would likely depend on what YOU like to do... for example, do you like visiting museums (DC) or going to places like Chinatown (NYC). I'd say edge to DC, then NYC, forget about Phoenix.

New York in November, you can get some great Christmas shopping in while you are there. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone
