Oceanside is a very nice beach city, not much more than that. It's quite and not too crowded, however besides the beach there isn't too much to do. There's not much nightlife, no great restaurants and very little culture. Since neither the Marines or surfers have much money, there really isn't much need for high end things and places. Still I like the city, it's nice and very charming for what it's trying to be.
