Will visit Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park ...? |
Travel Info We will be taking our 12 year old daughter and her 10 year old cousin with us to camping and would like to know what is the best place to sightsee in Grand Teton, Jackson and Yellowstone. We will also be going whitewater rafting and horseback riding. Knowing my daughter always say "When will we get there??" during hiking and we would like to make the hiking comfortable for all of us. We have bought a book about Yellowstone and Grand Teton but we would like to hear your feedbacks especially those who have experience hiking and sightseeing with child(ren) Thanks! Travel Tips Walk around the boardwalk at Old Faithful. Near there, there is an easy 6 mile hike (round trip) to Fairy Falls. Many, many hikes you can do in Yellowstone. Use your book and ask the rangers for help and advice on what hikes are good for you. Others I enjoyed Yellowstone and tetons much more when I was an adult and didn't appreciate it at all when I was a kid. It's just one of those things. Well i went 2 years ago when i was 14 and loved it. It was the best trip I have ever taken and cant wait to go back. The scenery is great, the geysers are awesome, and the wildlife is in a league of its own. Check out www.yellowstone.net for help planning the trip. The discussion forum on the site will also help. It is full of knowledgeable people who regularly go to the parks so they know all the secrets. You will have a great trip and I have to say I'm jealous.
