Is visiting Lake Havasu for July 4th week a good idea? |
Travel Info I've heard that spring break is the prime time to be in Lake Havasu. How would it be for the July 4th week? I'm deciding between going to San Diego or Lake Havasu for a few days including July 4th. I'm also concerned that it might be too hot. Can anybody speak from experience? Thanks. Travel Tips I have never been to Havasu for the 4th, but it is hot as hell there. It will be at least 105 or higher. But go to San Diego, it has one of the best 4th of July celebrations in the country and it will be packed with people all week. At least 250,000 crowd Pacific Beach/Mission Beach area and all around Mission Bay. The 4th is my favorite day in San Diego and is the best time of year to come here. We're one of the few places in CA where you can drink on the beach and Pacific Beach and the Gaslamp Quarter have great nightlife. Plus you won't have to worry about it being too hot, it;s always sunny and around 75 this time of year. Come to San Diego, you won't regret it and it will definately have more people than Havasu. Others Are you wanting a lot of people? Havasu will definitely be hot - at least 113-115 degrees. But there will be people there on the lake anyway! San Diego will be nice, and as the other poster mentioned, will have more activities for the 4th. SD over Havasu anytime! |
