For surfing, you can find 3-4' surf most any time, most anywhere; 5-10' most anytime, within a 2 hour drive of most anywhere; 10'+ within a 2 hour drive of most anywhere - but only at certain times of year or with the right swell (i.e. some beaches break big all winter - others break big only when there's storm in the north Pacific); 20'+ at a couple spots and only with the right swell. If you're looking for specific recommendations, you'll have to narrow it down some -- California is over 700 miles from top to bottom. |
