When is a good day to go to the zoo, when they aren't as busy? |
Travel Info I'm talking the Indianapolis but it doesn't have to be about the Indianapolis just whenever the zoos aren't as busy. Travel Tips I live in the Indy area and go to the zoo quite a bit. The best time is right when the gates open and many times Sunday morning or mid week. The animals are more active first thing also. We also went in February on one of the coldest days of the year. It was awesome because the polar bear was very active and so was the red panda. The place was pretty much deserted. But when I went at 9:00 a.m. on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago it was very easy to get around and much cooler. We were out of there by noon when the crowds were just starting to pile in. Others During the week when everyone is working . Never on holidays or weekends . Go tues or weds morning. I go to the zoo all the time and trust me if you go early you can save yourself so much time and aggrivation. Middle of the week. Usually on weekdays in the morning. Also give the zoo a call to see if they have any scheduled group tours that day. |
