What is there to do for kids, in Virginia Beach?

Travel Info
Aside from just going to the beach? Is there a big boardwalk with activities?

Travel Tips
It depends on how old your kids are, where you'll be staying and how long you'll be here but I have a few suggestions. If you're staying on the oceanfront there's a small amusement park and minature golf course but the museums and shops are pretty boring. You can catch the trolly and go down to the the aquarium from the oceanfront and they have an Imax. Its best to go there when they open and not on weekends. They even have a behind the scenes tour where you can get in the tank with the seals so if you're kids are a little older they'll like that. Just down from the aquarium is also a water park and go cart center. They are pretty cool. Also you can take dolphin watching cruises that leave from Rudee's Inlet. Like some of the other answers the boardwalk is so fantastic that your kids, if older, would probably love roller blading up and down the boardwalk. Enjoy your visit. Source(s): www.vmsm.com

I've lived in VA Beach 4 years and my 2 kids are under 4.
Other Travel Tips
There will be so much for them to do it will drive you nuts.
There is a nice long boardwalk you can rollerblade, ride your bike on etc. There are shops and restaurants along it. Look for the dolphins playing in the ocean.
I was just there a couple weeks ago, though I didn't have kids with me, I saw that there was lots of things along the boardwalk, there is a even a small amusent park somewhere near 16th st. or so...a waterpark, with go-carts and stuff too,a few minutes from the beach...the boardwalk has a haunted mansion, wax-museum...stuff like that to walk through. There are mini-golf places, bumper boats...you'll find plenty. This website might be helpful...www.vbfun.com

Also, you can rent bicycles (depending on your hotel, they might be free) or these pedal-cars they have, built for 2-6 people...I saw alot of those going up and down the beach, they looked kinda fun
