it is worth it.. two years ago i travelled to usa and canada and stayed in at least 5 different hotels and all of them gave benefits.. either discounts, late check out or breakfast.. plus, they've got offices and can give you maps and guides free of charge.. and this year i am travelling again and plan to get it.. if i were you, i'd get it..

they are definitely worth getting... for lodging discounts...

but especially for car troubles.... even a relatively new car under warranty can get a flat tire or run out of gas...

and if you are like me and drive a car with over 100,000 miles on it...well your fuel pump goes and your alternator and etc.... and a tow comes in real handy....
Yes, lodging discounts help. But membership also helps you with discounts to some amusement parks on their list. Also, when your car breaks down you get several towings a year which are very costly without AAA. We have been members for years and keep on renewing the membership because it is worth it. When we plan a road trip, we get their help to find the shortest and best route. They will give you the Trip Tik which highlights the roads you should take and they will tell you where you would expect construction on the highway etc.
I am AAA gold member,I walked into my drug store to pick up my $70 prescription,I complained about the copay.The Pharmacist asked if I had a AAA card she punched in my number the scrip cost me $20. Just to have security of knowing someone will be there if you break down 3 AM, or on your way to work,When you tell your boss,and add you called AAA,they believe you.I have traveled all over using AAA,for some reason you get treated better.
