Going to disneyland!!!?

i haven't been to disneyland since i was 12. back then there was still one park!! lol anyways, my friend and i are taking the kids and would like some advise from others who have been. we are on a tight budget and are wondering a few things. like-what can/should we bring in the park with us? a good restaurant to take the kids to that they would enjoy? rides to go on? areas to see? what time should we get there if we want to be one of the first ones in? is it true about the 'baby swap' thing for the rides? etc etc.
we are going to disneyland on saturday and california adventure on sunday.

Travel Tips

First off, if you're on a budget I strongly suggest bringing a backpack and stocking it with water bottles and snacks that you and your kids enjoy. Food in the parks is quite expensive, and having some snack foods and water on hand will help to cut down on the cost of your trip.

all of the food is good.. bring lots of money... everything is a rip off there! i would recamend getting a locker (6 dollars) that way you dont have to carry every thing around ALL DAY... bring a light sweater, and if you plan on going on water rides, a change of clothes.
