Travel Tips
I doubt if they are seeking for you to pay for the hotel for them. What you can do is wait until they arrive (are they going to be calling you), and take them out to a very nice dinner, or make a fancy dinner at your place. I am sure that they will appreciate that.

Whose choice was it for them to come visit?
Whose choice was it for them to stay in a hotel?
Is it physically impossible for two more people to sleep at your place, or is this more of a convenience choice?
Why wouldn't you let them stay at your place? I'd at least offer them the option of staying at your place. If they refuse, then you shouldn't feel like you should pay for the hotel, but take them out to eat or pay for some of the activities you all do.
