Can someone give me precise driving directions from Las Vegas to the new skywalk in the Grand Canyon?

Travel Info
I am going in August, and need to know how to get there and what hotels are close.

Travel Tips
Do not go to $kywalk . If you're visit GCNP then actually visit it From LAS 4.5 hrs depending on the damn traffic. Get gas in Kingman and if you plan on not returning to LAS via the N. Rim [you should btw it only adds 120+ of the most incredible miles you will ever drive in your life to the trip.]
To S.Rim: I-40 E to the US 89 N exit -on the east side of Flagstaff
I-89 N to the jct of SR 64 @ Cameron AZ get gas in Cameron or Grey Mtn.
Six miles up on the right there's sales area where Native Americans sell crafts.
Prices are negotiable just don't start to low and be aware of the fact that long stories are a part of the culture-so don't be in a hurry,
Use the Desert View Entrance to the Park and personally my first over look would be Lipan point not Desert View . The view from Lipan is much better. do all the over looks as you mosey your way back to the village and the visitors center.
Exit the Park on sr 64 to I-40 at Williams and back to LAS
N-Rim I-15 N thru the spectacular Virgin River Gorge, Rt 9 E at Hurricane -get gas at the Maverick station at the end of town.
By pass Zion NP by making a right at the end of town and then a dogleg left up a 10% grade.your heading for Hilldale /Colorado City Fredonia at the jct of 89A make a right &uphill to Jacob Lake again make the right to the N.Rim if you are planning on returning to LAS the same night.
If so into & out of the N.Rim then back to Fredonia on 89A to jct of 89 at Kanab continue to the jct of rt 9 and then into Zion & back to LAS.I just think that Zion looks better going down then going up.
If you don't want to visit the N.Rim continue on 89A to the jct of US 89 S
Make sure to take the Lee's Ferry side trip before crossing Navajo Bridge
US 89 S to Cameron -get gas and follow directions as above Source(s): Former resident & canyon hiker

Mapquest works wonders for those sort of things.
the new skywalk is lame...visit the south rim...natural and awesome
dont go to that new skywalk !!!!!!!!!

i just got back from arizona (i stayed in phoenix but we took the 5 hour drive to the grand canyon) .. there is plenty of other stuff to do at the g.c. but that skywalk is a waste of money
I would say us yahoo directions or map quest. You could also buy a tom tom navigation. if you are renting a vehicle, rent one with on star. It has turn by turn navigation?
Go on line RandMcnally.com is excellent site I went on line to get driving directions from Ma.to Buffalo NY And from Ontario Ca. to Apple Valley,Ca. and the directions were very clear.
