How would i go on about relocating to another state?

Travel Info
Is there any websites, resources or advice a person could give to me since i'm wanting to move out of state?

Travel Tips
Moving out of state can be a daunting process, and there is usually a lot to handle. However, the specifics matter more than the general idea. You should research on the state you plan on moving to before actually going there. If you have an extensive amount of time, try taking a few trips to the area to investigate the community. If not, start out by renting a modest apartment and look for a new home while you are there.

Once you have the housing issue settled, I recommend that you find a moving company, just like for in-state moves. However, you should be aware that the process can take up to days. Because of this, it is highly recommended that you keep a few personal items.

If you have a car, I suggest you take a road trip to the state in question. Although it will take hours of driving, it's often the cheapest way to move your car around. Google up some maps, and hit the road.

Once you're actually in the new state, report to the DMV to register your vehicle and obtain a new driver's license. That officially establishes your residence in the new state. Then, call up your former utilities and cancel all of your services.

An interstate move does not have to be complicated. It's simply about getting new ties while breaking off old ones. You might need a bit of time as you adjust to your new state. Remember, in the US, the government does not keep detailed records on who and where you are. Source(s): Have moved out of state many times.
Other Travel Tips
Just get into your car and drive there. ~
You could check things out on Craig's List.
As a person who has been a legal resident of 18 States I can tell you it's no big deal. Set up your residence, get a drivers license and auto registration in your new state, register to vote, acquire gainful employment and in most states, after 30 days you become one of them.
