Is it difficult to live and work in the usa? |
Travel Info im 26 years old, flat broke, dont really have many work skills and really desperate to get out of britain. is there a way of moving to america and work out there? even if it is for a short time. Travel Tips you can apply for work permit and visa if you find a job and the company willing to sponsor you (and wait 2-3months for you)....however note that the 2007 work based visas have run out. They only allow so many a year. They are also allocated depending on type of job and skill level. I have looked long and hard into US visas as my fiance is American. I'm currently waiting on my K1 fiancee visa. Source(s): person experience Other Travel Tips Only if you're born here why usa? I would contact the USA Consulate in London and see what you need to get a work visa for here. As far as work in the USA, there is always something you can do, but I would suggest going to a larger city as your chances of getting a job would be better. Youll need to apply for a work permit . Iam not sure if this entails a green card as well. Though Iam sure of one thing its going to cost you money. The US does hold lotteries each year and gives out a number of green cards.....dont know details but worth checking out. Being your a UK citizen you may have better chances going to Canada. There is plenty of work there as long as you can handle alittle cold :) Are you sure you're not really Mexican? |
