Where can i find both redwoods and sequoias in california? |
Travel Info i need a place to see both redwoods and sequoias found close to each other or in the same place in california. does anybody have any good parks or cities? Travel Tips In central California you can find coastal redwoods in the John Muir National Monument north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Drive 4 hours east to see Giant Sequoias in the Mariposa, Tuolumne and Merced groves of Yosemite National Park. The tallest trees in the world are the coastal redwoods of Redwood National Park in northern California. The largest trees in the world are the Giant Sequoias in Sequoia National Park south of Yosemite. Others Technically, redwoods are sequoias (sequoia sempervirens). If you're talking about the giant sequoias, they aren't found together with redwoods, as they need completely different types of climate. |
