Places that i can see i switzerland in 2 days... arriving in geneva on a Sat and leaving geneva on Mon morning |
Travel Info i would be arriving in geneva on saturday morning ... will have 2 days to explore switzerland ...this would be my first trip there...would be flying out of geneva on monday morning ... so basically looking at how best i can spend my short stay there ...see as many palces as possible... Travel Tips Visit Geneva first of all, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Then try going to Lausanne and Montreux (less than an hour with the local train) and you have time (another hour on a train) visit the beautiful canton of Valais (town of Sion, Zermatt, Aletsch glacier), but I'm not sure if you'll make it. Others go to the mountain slope ride thing in Lanken!!!!! make sure to visit the store COOP. and have a delicious vanilla pudding by emmi brand. i had that and loved it. we dont have that here in the states... With only 2 days, I'd stay around Lake Geneva - head down to Lausanne, Montreaux, drink some wine, etc. If you're ambitious, you could do a circuit of the lake and hit the French side too, but 2 days is pretty short. |
