I'm going to Geneva in end December. Just want to find out what is the weather like, and how should I dress? |
Travel Info I'm from the tropics, have a moderately warm suede, faux fur lined coat, some knitted sweaters. Will this be enough? Do I need thermal wear? Travel Tips I'm a Canadian living in Switzerland (Zurich, which is probably very slightly colder than Geneva) and I'm constantly amazed at how cold the tropical people I know find it here. So my guess is yes, get thermal wear and definitely rain gear, and gloves. Source(s): I was going to say you'd be fine in the suede, because I personally would, but then I thought about what every single Australian, African, Indian, etc I've met would say about it. Other Travel Tips I would also say definitely thermal underwear, a hat that covers your ears or some ear protectors and a scarf. Warm padded shoes preferably anti-water. Geneva can be miserably cold and windy in winter. Better be prepared and then enjoy a sunny warm day :) Definitely get some warmer things, its damp and cold there, and snowy. Since you're not used to the cold, get thermal stuff. |
