Has the space shuttle ever been to scotland, Glasgow back in the 80`s? |
Travel Info can anyone tell me if the space shuttle has ever been to Glasgow airport back in the 80`s. thanks Travel Tips It flew over Glasgow whilst piggy-back on another aeroplane in 1985 I think as we were told about it at school. I dont know if it landed at Glasgow airport though. Others Interesting question and I do not know the answer! But I DO know that John Glen's Mercury "atlas 6" capsule was in Glasgow in the late 60's. I think it was in the Kelvin Hall. the whole school got taken to see it, it was astonishingly tiny, and quite scary. Not sure,but Franz Bekenbaur was there once,he played in a European Cup final as a centre half for Bayern Munich against St. Etienne. the coronation scot use to travel in aprx 1937 up that way a saw a ufo oan ma roof in castlemilk wan night when a wiz blootered.... |
