Things to do? |
Travel Info ive got some free time coming up and id love to explore a bit more of glasgow but im a bit skint. anyone got any ideas of some cheap or even free things to do in glasgow to enjoy my time off? Travel Tips Get an all day bus ticket and jump on and off the bus to do a bit of sightseeing. Have a wander round the city centre - lovely shops and cafes. Also go to the west end for the art galleries, transport museum and more shops. If you're out and about at the weekend have a wander round the barras, paddy's market and the car boot sales for any bargains. Others kelvingrove art gallery is good.its free, botanic gardens-free. george square. window shop at buchanan galleries!just a few places i went.will try and think of more. The gallery of modern art is in the centre, free, and full of weird installations. The university grounds are stunning. Botanic gardens are quite nice. People watch - lots of goths to smile at over a coffee. The cathedral's worth a visit, and free (although they welcome donations - don't we all?). Don't drive even close to the centre - parking costs a fortune. This link takes you to lots more about the city, with a summary of attractions if you scroll down (including some entrance fees). http://wikitravel.org/en/glasgow... Enjoy! Do the hop on hop off tour, it's not free but a great way to see Glasgow. Around $17.00 off http://www.viator.com Have fun =) Learn the patter, go on I dare you!
