Travel Info Wchich Glasgow district would you recomend to live with kids? Travel Tips It depends on what type of property you are after and how important schools are (you dont say how old they are)....and how much you can spend on rent/mortgage. West end is mainly flats so unlikely to have a garden but near to Kelvingrove Park and the Botanic Gardens. If you are after typical family 2-3 bed house with a garden look at areas on the south-side such as Pollokshields, Thornliebank, Clarkston, Newton Mearns, Newlands, Langside, Kingspark, Burnside and Cambuslang. I don't know many areas of north Glasgow too well, perhaps Bearsden? Depends how far from the city centre you want to be. Here are a few site to help you: http://www.gspc.co.uk/ http://www.s1homes.com/ http://www.findaproperty.com/l... hope this helps. Source(s): Glaswegian born and bred Other Travel Tips Round Byres road in the West End is lovely - you can walk to the botanic gardens and (sorry to say it) there's less scum, good food shops and near the park to play in. This is a trick question, right? The answer you are looking for is: The one that doesn't exist. Heh, heh. Failing that, Kelvinside. Bearsden or Milngavie. (OK the weegies say that it is not Glasgow but that must be an advantage!) There is a train to central Glsgow, good schools, easy access to the countryside etc. |
