Travel Tips
There is a Travel Inn on George Square (very central). Or have a browse here:

On the train south :-)
Glasgow is a big place with lots of new towns on the outskirts, if its the city centre with lots of shops and pubs and clubs, then there is the usual named hotels and a few youth hostels, although they are busy with uni students. If its family things you are looking for, like the beach etc you are better going to Ayrshire around 20 miles from centre or Edinburgh coast, 60 miles. Glasgow central is just a city like many others, with very bad housing and derelict buildings.
yeah the travel inn is clean and cheap, right next to George square.
the train south??? wouldn't recommend it!!!
