Travel Info How close is Hamilton from Glasgow? is there much to see and do? what is the shopping like? Travel Tips Hamilton is in Lanarshire so it's about half an hour from Glasgow. The usual shops are there but nothing special that I know about. Maybe search "Hamilton Scotland" and see if the city has an information web site. Or you could head to Greenoch instead. There are many great new shops there and a huge shopping common close by. Lots of Cruise ships from around the world stop there now and that fact has added greatly to the variety of shops and activities. Cheers! .do you mean in Montana? if so, it's got to be a long drive...they're in opposite corners of the state...probably at least 8 or 9 hours...there's nothing in glasgow, but hamilton has some shopping, and its only about 40 minutes from missoula (probably close to the best shoppin in montana)...plus pretty scenery fHamilton is not far from Glasgow. About an hour by car centre to centre depending on the traffic. The centre of culture is the local ASDA (or was it a TESCO). There is nothing to see and nothing to do other that to drive somewhere else. Shopping can be found at ASDA where they have a special display of Bells Scotch Pies. Otherwise go to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Lanark, New Lanark and the Borders or the tourist bit.. ( Oh! There is the Livingstone museum at Blantyre - the signage is poor.. You will have to ask the way.) Been there. Was most bored. Hamilton is 30mins from the city centre via the Motorway. Hamilton in Scotland is not a city, its a Glasgow suburb. |
