Who are the best car hire company to deal with in Larnaca for price and back up? |
Travel Info Will be in Cyprus early in April for two weeks with two kids under 5 and two adults. Travel Tips Hi, We have always booked a car when in Cyprus, Petsas is very good. Are you going with a travel company? have a look at their prices when you get there. Last year we hired a car in England for when we arrived at Larnaca through our Tour company. When we picked up the car at Larnaca they made us pay an extra Cyp 拢40.00 for 2 extra drivers. Then when we got to the hotel we received a call from Budget Cars(don't go with them) saying that we had to pay an extra Cyp拢97.00 for excess, our rep said she couldn't help us as we had booked the car in England even though it was through the same tour operator. If we had booked through her we wouldn't have had to pay, for excess. We have never had any trouble before but apparently it's new legislation. What i am saying to you is Read the small print, ask about the excess and if you have to pay, needless to say we are only booking our car when we get there this year. Don't let this put you off i love Cyprus, Have a great time. Others In these countries, I would stick to the "Majors" (Hertz, Avis etc) I've been using 'Petsas' hire cars for more than ten years and been quite satisfied. They have a website and you can book on line personal experience We've used "EconomyCarRentals.com." 3 times and have found them to be very competitively priced, professional and reliable. We have had 1 free upgrade and have been happy with all of the cars. Book on line and they will meet you at the airport or your choice of pick up etc. Have a good holiday |
