Is hardcore porn allowed in Greek TV?

I was two years ago on Santorini and I remember that we could watch in our hotel room (not payed extra service or something) a hardcore porn movie on on a greek TV channel. It was about 1am. I was very surprized. Do they really show that with closeup penetration, penis and everything?

Hardcore is illegal on greek TV. Only soft porn that does not show any actual penetration. What you described is 101% Filmnet. It is a channel on a cable system called Nova.

Some channels used to show this late at night (usually later than 1 a.m.). I don't know if it is legal though. I haven't run across anything like that in the past few years, so I think it was illegal and it stopped. However, many hotels epsecially in touristic areas have satellite TV, although they don't charge anything extra for it, which shows private channels - not the channels we have in our homes without paying anything, and I guess that might be it.
It must have been Filmnet which is a private payed channel. And why did you watch it in the first place? You could change the channel dude, is it so difficult for ya, jeesh!
Basically YES. The idea is you do not have to watch it. Greece is very lax with all sorts of sexual attitudes. It really s a very free place intellectually.
I could be in trouble here and be thought of as a porn watcher, but I used to be a late-shift worker and now Im pregnant and always have trouble sleeping. haha

I've only ever seen hard-core porn on "Magic" a seperate channel devoted to sport and football and in generally devoted to the team "Olympiakos". And that is only on late at night. I think its a completely seperate and independent channel, but is free to air. Any other films on the normal channels on late at night I wouldnt consider porn. Just really really bad action films where the sex scenes are a little longer than normal perhaps. But nothing hard core.
I dont think it is allowed here either.

Only to Pay TV (Nova). Recently hard core porn is illegal to be as a gift to news papers. Yes there was a period for which a lot of newspapers where giving as presents hard core porn. Probably for increasing the rate of births in Greece .... :-o
