An ancient town of central Greece near Mount Parnassus. Dating to at least the seventh century b.c., it was the seat of a famous oracle of Apollo.
Parnassus mountain.
Ancient Delphi considered to be the umbilicus (omphalos) of the earth, meaning the center of the world. It was very important to ancient Greeks, as the leaders wouldn't proceed in any decision without Pythia's oracle words.
The museum in ancient Delphi is fantastic also.
