What are the best islands of greece for a honeymoon? |
Travel Info What are the best islands of greece for a honeymoon? Travel Tips All the greek islands are wonderful..The hospotality, the people... I would suggest you the Aegean islands, and particularly the island of Rhodes, the island of the knights, and of the natural beautiful landscapes... The medieval town of Rhodes is one in Greece, and Rhodes is world Heritage city with Patmos island.. Walk through the narrow streets of the medieval city and enjoy the medieval atmosfere which brings you back centuries ago... For more information, you can ask me... Others Sifnos I love Santorini it is very romantic and quite exclusive but quieter. Sun Rocks is a nice property - treated like royalty. Alternatively Mykonos is a little more lively and Kivotos is a great place to stay. Good luck with the wedding plans! http://www.islands-of-greece.co.uk/... (who i travelled with on my holiday) They say that the sunset in santorini is magnificent but it's quite crowded in August...also in the aegean is windy so you may not have a good time...I'd prefer the Ionian islands...they're litterally green+much larger+they have great beaches...probably lefkada or kefalonia they're the best... Well it really depends on what you like, the Greek islands are all great but there are islands which are very crowded and loud, with a lot of tourists and therefore a lot of bars/discos etc and there are islands that are more exclusive. I personally think, especially if you are going for a long time(2 weeks or more) that Crete is the best solution.Because it is the biggest island of Greece and there is something for everyone. You have many historical sights and museums for the ones who like culture, very beautiful beaches(especially on the south side of the island) for the ones who like to sunbathe, four very touristic cities and a lot of small touristic villages for those who get a little homesick(for example Hersonissos is full of Dutch people,Malia is full of English etc),there are a lot of traditional villages mainly in the center for the island for those who want to see how Greeks lived a few decades ago.The weather there is always good, though it kinda gets windy sometimes. But really any Greek island you'll choose will make for a great holiday and even a greater honeymoon.Good luck with choosing the right one for you and best wishes for the wedding!! I'm from Crete ;) |
