Travel Info Anyone can suggest best island to visit in greece for a married couples ? thanks Travel Tips I would, like everyone else here, say that Santorini is the best choice. Try find a more beautiful place, you will find that very difficult. The greeks say that santorini is the most romantic place in the world, and thats probably true! On the down side, santorini is very expencive to visit. The sunset in Santorini is the best in the world, so the trip will be wirth the money only for the sunset! Another island that easily gets forgotten is Lefkada. Very beutifull island that have everything. Its close to the mainland and connected with a bridge and you can rent a car on lefkada and go around the island or maybe on to the main land. There you have so many archeological excavation and it is an island with sandy beach. Most of the other islands (except corfu) have mainly shingle beachs. Corfu No question...Santorini (Saloniki). All of the Greek Isles are beautiful, but Santorini is hands-down the most romantic. It is listed as one of the 10 most beautiful places in the world. It has stunning beauty, history, volcanos, etc. I can think of no more romantic place on earth. You wont be disappointed..guaranteed. I would go for Crete.Because it's the biggest island and there is much to do there.But every island is beautiful and is great to visit! P.S ruadisneyfan Santorini and Saloniki are two very different things,Santorini is an island and Saloniki is another name for Thessaloniki,the second biggest town of Greece which is in north Greece.Thought you would wanna know,lol I would recomend you Rhodes, the island of the knights, with the romantic medieval town an air of Europe, and the wonderful sea of 3 colours. Rhodes is world heritage city also.. It has so many beauties, i m sure you ll like it. In case you choose sth else, be sure that EVERY destination in Greece is wonderful, Corfu, Crete, Santorini, Hydra...Aegean islands... Enjoy your travel in Greece.. |
