Do I need to learn Greek alphabet to find my way around Greece? |
Travel Info I mean, are the road signs only in Greek or in "english" letters too? Travel Tips Hi from Greece, No you do not need to learn the alphabet here as many greeks speak english.Also the road signs are both in english and greek. Finding you way around our country is easy as us greeks are very friendly people indeed.Have a happy stay in our country Others Not at all. I'm not sure about road signs, but most things tend to be bilingual or totally English especially if you're in touristy areas. You can always ask people if you get lost, lots of Greeks speak English quite well. Dear, why you have to worry so much?Everything is in english too.Why to spend now your summer in this ?After your holiday if you want and you have the time ok.But for your holidays you dont need it, be sure..You ll not have aby problem... Knowing the greek alphabet won't help either. It's a very complex language and somethign you can't teach your self in a few weeks. All shop owners are bi-lingal and are very friendly! Just returned 3 wks ago. |
