What do you believe about Patra in Greece??? |
Travel Info i visited that city but i cant understand what in the end i really thought about that city. they ask me about how it was and stuff but i cant that OMG she was perfect or no she was bad. any suggestions? Travel Tips Patra used to be a really beautiful city some decades ago..The facade of the houses had porticos on the level of the street, and the civilian architecture was strongly influenced by that of the Italian cities of the Adriatic. Its theater was famous even for performances of Opera. There were also beautiful public gardens and pittoresque squares, while the castle on top of the city remained as a guardian of its history. Unfortunately Patra followed the destiny of almost all greek cities and soon it became a a city of concrete, loosing the majority of its beautiful houses and buildings.. But there are always some parts of it which can remind us of its former beauty and commercial and cultural importance.... Others well all the cities have their plus and their minus. so i guess Patra you can say that it was a good city but not perfect. the best answer Patra is a big city, not really nice, but very effective. It's alive all the seasons of the year and especially in the carnival, not only for its' citizens but also for its' university students. Not the best Greek city to visit. Thessaloniki and Athens are far much better, but Patra has the port and it's very busy. Good food is a characteristic of Patra! |
