How much Guatemalan Quetzals would be enough for me in Guatemala? |

I already have my accommodation and food paid for and since i'll be studying I dont plan to take many 'tourist trips'. I have no idea how much of the local currency i should bring! Other Travel Tips You'll find Guatemala to be very cheap. If everything else is paid 70 quetzales per day should be more than enough, unless you drink heavily, but that's another story. According to the 2006 worldwide cost of living survey Guatemala is the most expensive country in Central America and fifth in all Latin America, so don't think its very cheap. It will depend on your needs but between US$25 and US40 would be reasonable. |
