How long may a tourist legally stay in Guatemala? |
Travel Info How long may a tourist legally stay in Guatemala? Travel Tips Typically 90 days per visit and 180 days per calendar year, but they could give you less if you happen to say you're only staying a week they might give you 15-30 days based on their judgment. Others Nobody visits Guatemala. Depends on your passeport. I'll assume you're from the US, you can legaly stay 90 days, but you can, with out going out of the country (which some do just to visit Copan or Bay Islands in Honduras... and get a new stamp on the passport for another 90 days), go to the immigration office in Zone 9 in Guatemala City and ask for an extension. It's a good 1/2 day worth of standing in line and talking to other foreingners looking for the same thing, you may meet some interesting travel partners and get a date to go out in the City while you're there (shopping, movies, descent food... all with in walking distance). For more info, if you're from the US, contact the Guatemalan embassy in Chicago. If you're in Europe there's an embassy in Paris, Madrid and Rome and consulates in different countries. 3 months and 3 months more without living the country, total 6 months ,after you have to live the country for 2 days and you have 3 months again http://www.donpedrospanishschool.com... |
