GUATEMALA "THE ETERNAL SPRING COUNTRY"

Well the Summer season in Guatemala begins at the first days of March and ends by the second half of May. So it is supposed to come to its end this year, but to be quite sincere with you it doesn't seem that is going to finish yet, it is still very hot.

For Summer you can go to the swimming pools, beaches (ocean - lakes), you can go to Xetulul and Xocomil, sightseeing and you can do a lot of things to have fun around the country.

About the shopping spots, we have a lot of big malls here where you can find a lot of stuff. We have big supermarkets where you can find national products and imported ones too. Department stores there are various and big.

Malls: Pradera Concepci贸n, La Pradera, Miraflores, Metronorte, Majadas, Tikal Futura.

Supermarkets: Hiperpaiz, Paiz, PriceSmart, ClubCo, Despensas Familiares, Maxibodegas.

Department Stores: Siman, Carrion, Sears

Hotels: Various categories, the most expensive are located at Zona Viva.

Food: national, international and fast food restaurants

History sites: Both about Ancient Mayan Culture and Modern Guatemala.

It is warm,weatherwise. A little cooler in the highlands.
I know that Tikal is a great Historical site.(Mayan History)
Lake Atitlan and its surroundings are very nice. It's a beautiful lake.There are volcanoes in the area. Villages around the Lake Atitlan are nice.
If you want to see the city -there's Guatemala City.
Guatemala is great in the summer very humid since it pretty much rains every afternoon.....Antigua is probably the most liked and comftorable tourist spot. Has a lot of great spots for shopping and a lot of friendly people who are waiting to help out. Not sure about hotels since i always stay with family, and food is everywere you look ha ha....hope you ahve a great time!!
