Is Nova Scotia a good place to go on vacation? |
Travel Info Is Nova Scotia a good place to go on vacation? Travel Tips fantastic place. probably the friendliest people you will find in all of Canada. The province is quite small so you could rent a car and have a fantastic time touring it. highlights: Halifax: a small and pretty city. In summer they have an internationally renowned busker festival. Canada's best art school is here - in a block of converted old buildings, connected by a maze of corridors and pathways. The Titanic Muesum and tribute to the Halifax Expolision (two ships collided in the harbour to create the largest man-made explosion EVER up until Hiroshima). The massive citadel atop the hill overlloking the city and harbout are a testement to what was one of British North America's first settlements. The South Shore: meandering road that winds past quaint little fishing villages - the highlight of which would have to be Peggy's Cove - one of the most pictaresque spots in Canada.. other notable towns, Mahone Bay, Bridgewater, Yarmouth.. kinda like New England The Cabot Trail: up to the majestic grandeur of Cape Breton - massive rock cliffs jutting out into the sea... kinda like Ireland or Scotland. Annapolis Valley and Digby: 300 plus year old settlements along the Bay of Fundy. Used French Acadian until British Loyalists kicked em out and they moved down to Lousiana and became "Cajuns".. - uhh, just don't go there between October and May!! brrrrr.. Source(s): like the people so much - I married one! Other Travel Tips |
