Rock hounding in Nova Scotia?

I am going to Nova Scotia and would like to do some rock hounding there does anyone know where to go?

Go to Parrsboro. Along the shore you can find fossils, as well as semi-precious stones such as amethyst and quartz. The Fundy Geological Museum is there, as is the Rock and Mineral Museum. As a bonus, the Minas Basin has the highest tides in the world. It's a great place to visit. Here's a couple of good links:
