Travel Tips 1 To decide where you want to go 2 To get an up-to-date traveller-logue (eg Lonely Planet which gives good tips for backpacker) 3 Highlight and Look out for : a. Local weather - decide what to bring and wear b. Local Time - time difference from you country c. Local custom - local taboo, things to avoid d. Local Health condition - whether to prepare some medicine or go for a vaacine jeb. e. Local currency - and whether cards are accepted f. Local festival - decide best time to travel g. Local language - learn a few important words eg, toilet, food, and police in local term h. Your embassy address and contact no in the country 4 To save some money try not to travel during Malaysia's travel peak season. The airline will increase the fare. 5 Plan your route/ itenary, this is to avoid overspending. During the trip try to adhere to you planed route. 6 Base on the travelogue calculate your per day expenditure. eg. including hotel, meals, transport, and remember to plus a 30% for safeguarding. You will know how much to bring. 7 Make sure your travel document is having at least 6 months of validity. 8 To prepare a thin pouch to safekeep your passport and money under your clothing 9 To prepare some small note each day before going out for excursion. (may exchange with the lodging house) Small note is to keep in you wallet not the pouch as doing small purchase will be convenient. 10 Try to bring as little clothing as possible. You may wish to wash your own at the lodging house. 11 If possible try to make a local on-line friend as he/she maybe able to help you while you are there. Others firstly go to tourist devolopment office and get all the brochures for each state.. then use bus service to go around malaysia.. or you can buy a rail pass if you want to travel by train.. carry a a sleeping bag and you are able to sleep anywhere in malaysia as the wheather is ok.... |
