Travel Info Is there a pill i can take to stop mosquitoes biting me? Travel Tips Stay close to dark or fleshy people. Mosquitos will concentrate there....this is a fact!! Others should be no as then the mosqutio will only know when it bite u as the pill is in ur body eat lots of garlic...... (on foods not straight, of course) my mum swears by taking garlic capsules, they dont make you stink i dont know what they do but i never get bit, my mate tried it out cause she seems to attract them on our hols and it worked. give it a go you can by them from any good health store my family and i used to go to northern British Columbia every summer for holidays and the mosquito's and black flies were everywhere. we met a lady in a town called dease lake and she got us hooked on Vitamin B Complex. it made an incredible difference. even if we got a mosquito bite it did not swell or itch. i'm not sure if it was a power of suggestion thing but it really worked and i still take them to this day. In essence yes. But this came from Indian Lore and is still today so pardon (me) please if manufactured pills are not involved. The Indians knew that the mosquitoes were biting because they wanted the sugar in the blood.What they did for the season's peace, and what you can do is when Spring is immenent stop taking sugar in to your system. The main, and best, methods I've heard of to stop mosquitoes biting is to simply use insect repellent sprays... I'm guessing you're not that big a fan of them?!? I know people, with sensitive skin, who are allergic to the sprays, and they make you smell a bit funny if you're on a night out! If it's the latter you're concerned about, I'd recommend drinking plenty of gin and tonic! The quinine in gin puts the mosquitoes of biting... plus, it's refreshing and low calorie!!! |
