Travel Info Who knows what part of Mexico if safe to live in? Travel Tips I see you got some smart mouth answers...probably not what you are looking for. I am an American, retired, living in Mexico...there are many of us. I live in a small town near the city of Xalapa in the state of Veracruz. This is not a tourist area, is beautiful, safe, inexpensive. It is safe in MOST of Mexico. Yes, there is more crime in large cities, just like in the states. If you are thinking of moving here, there are lots of web sites ..search under living in Mexico or retiring in Mexico. I think it is best to live in a small town (prices are far less) about half an hr from a big city for convient shopping, movies, Etc. Lots of places like that. I lived in Colorado in the states and experienced a lot more crime than here. My house was broken into 3 times, and the manager of the Walmart 1mile away was shot in the store...things llike that. Do your research, please don't listen to ignorant, prejudiced people who have never lived here. Others Haven't you heard? Mexico is such a disgusting pit, they are all coming here. i believe any place away from the cities is the safest in any nation.. next door to the president |
