Lapland (Help to deal with the cold)?

Travel Info
We are going to Lapland for a day with our young daughter, to see the man himself Santa. I have been told that we should bring oil based lip balm and moisturiser to protect from the cold. Has anyone got an good products they could recommend that we could use. As normaly I don't do the COLD weather thing and think it's a bit mad to pay to get my butt frozen off, rather than pay to soak up the sun. Though your only young once. Can anyone help please.

I would use Olay night time for the moisturiser, its a quality product and being a night moisturiser is more oily than the day one...;

Have a great time..

Go to a ski/snowboard shop and you'll find a wide selection of lip balms and facial lotions. Most of the stuff you can get in a grocery or drug store will be a petroleum jelly base instead of an oil base (even the solid/stick stuff) and won't be able to protect you from that extreme cold.
Wear a balaclava and thermal clothes.
i took my daughter to Lapland about six years ago. i was expecting the worst weather ever. when you get there its nowhere near as bad as you think. we both had all in one ski type suits and big fluffy boots and we survived. Santa is fab. he even speaks different languages for different groups of kids. beware of the trolls though. hope you enjoy.
hi,
i have been to lapland every year for the past 5 years & i can assure you that when you get there you will be really suprised that it is not that cold at all if anything you will be to warm inside the suits they supply there is no wind so you dont get the chill factor due to all the snow & trees around you all you will need is a lip balm i found vasaline to be the best .
have a great trip.
