It happens to drivers too, when they are not on the wheel. Keep asking air hostesses for some extra shots

EES scared yoo? I scare, plane is scare me! You're not scare, and you're not a pilot. Pilot's are extremely intelligent, and can form sentences. You're a mental patient.
that is because as a passenger you are not the PIC.
your sacred cause your not in control ..i was a dental nurse for 5 years but am terrified of going to the dentist as a patient !!
same me when somebody is driving my car...you like to have everything under control! may be speak with you colleague before to seee that he is as skillfull as you, and if he isnt, just take medecine to relax
I would think pilots could spell better and articulate sentences.
The make sure that when you travel, you are always the one flying the aircraft. This is highly improbable though, so perhaps you can just get an ipod video, load your laptop with lots of videos and an extra battery, breathe into a paper bag when all your videos are consumed or your battery is dead, and avoid transatlantic flights. Phobias are not really rational, but they happen. You can also try analyzing the situation and trust the pilot, as much as you trust yourself.

Happy flying mate.
